Design Team

CindyThe lead of the Luminosa directing team, Cindy is the BBiC (Bad Beetlejuice in Charge). She is the lead director focusing on GE and choreography. Cindy was inducted into the NECGC Hall of Fame in 2015.

JoannThe second of our directing team, Joann specializes in GE and works with anything Administration and Fundraising. Joann was inducted into the NECGC Hall of Fame in 2010.

SandyAnother of our directors, Sandy takes charge of technique and equipment choreography. In 2020 she was a featured performer in the role of Lydia Deetz. Sandy was inducted into the NECGC Hall of Fame in 2011.

ShariOur last and certainly not least director, Shari is our dance specialist. She doesn’t like to admit it but she’s great at sabre. In 2020, she was a featured performer in the role of Juno, the afterlife caseworker. Shari was inducted into the NECGC Hall of Fame in 2016.

Brooke2020 is Brooke’s 11th year of spinning. Starting is 2011 with Jamestown Caboose, she spent 10 amazing years with Jamestown Caboose, Expressions, and Express. After graduating High School in 2019 Brooke joined Luminosa for the inaugural 2020 season.

CaseyCasey has been in guard since high school, spinning in the non-competitive Depew Marching Band. After high school she joined UB’s Thunder of the East marching band for 5 years. In 2016 she joined White Sabres corps color guard and had her first winter season in 2019 with Lancaster Independent.

JodieJodie started spinning in 1982 with the Hinsdale Starliners. She has been a WGI World Finalist with the Hinsdale Headliners in 1985 and Alliance of Miami in 1992 and a DCI world finalist in 1990 with Dutch Boy DBC. Jodie has also instructed multiple groups around Central New York including Hinsdale Headliners where her daughter currently marches.

LaurenOriginally from the Mid-York Colorguard Circuit, Lauren comes to Luminosa with 7 years of winterguard experience with the Union-Endicott Winterguard. Her favorite piece of equipment is, of course, rifle.

MoiraAfter 3 years of photographing performers at NECGC shows, Moira was excited to be back on the floor for Luminosa’s first season! Before Luminosa, they spun with Lancaster High School and Lancaster Independent and have far too many years of dance under their belt. They currently dance with 716 Dance Lab and can still be found behind a camera.
